Can you believe it all started with a gentleman by the name of St. Patrick? At 16 he was kidnapped from Roman Britain, by Irish raiders and taken captive to Ireland as a slave. He later escaped slavery and studied to become a priest. March 17th is believed to be the date that St. Patrick died. This being the reason we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day today.
